I am a Mom in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I spent my early years growing up in
and on Okauchee Lake.
After my parents divorced I spent summers here with my grandparents and
cousins. Everyone lived on Lindy Lane, so visiting family on a daily basis was
But time moves on, family grows up and moves on, but here I am back in
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (for the last 18 years) with my parents a few miles
away, and family within minutes. Am I stuck in a rut or what?
But I'm so proud of my community: rural, yet modern; small, yet large;
cultural, historical, expanding, family-oriented, wonderful place to live. Minutes
from Madison or Milwaukee, and not too far (2 1/2 hours) from the Green Bay
Packers or Door County.
So excuse me if I get carried away. I love Oconomowoc!
This is my guide to family-oriented things to do, lake, parks, museums, fairs,
businesses, entertainment, restaurants, and other activities in Oconomowoc
and surrounding areas. Kid Friendly or not? I'll let you know.
